How we sum up Christmas...

Christmas is definitely one of the happiest day of the year and of course, like every other year we will be celebrating at home because it is also my mother's birthday. Christmas baby! But this year, we celebrated her birthday in advance ^^

Party at home during Christmas Eve:

On Christmas Day, we only went for lunch at Timesquare and head to Airport Mall for their desserts. At night, me and my family actually planned to go to NBT to take pictures but aigoo, raining!

To my dearest darling Niu Niu, I received your Christmas card d haha. I miss you very much too but I miss your Qian Nian Lao Gui more. xD Thank you very much le Fang!

I've received another video from another friend from Korea. White Christmas Morning~! Lovely view. Thanks Jay~! I really love winter.

동방신기 "8th Anniversary..."

Back in late 2003...
Where I'm still quite active in forums and there were some news and photos released about these boys...
and I was like, hey, there's another new group debuting from SM!
(I'm a fan of Shinhwa, H.O.T, Boa, FTTS, S.E.S, Black Beat etc which were from SM too)
Knowing that they're around my age and I'm really curious about them, I waited to watch their first appearance debut during Boa and Britney Spear's Showcase. That time they performed two songs, which is 'Oh, Holy Night' with Boa and 'Hug' (which is their 1st debut single)

My reaction at that time --> O.O *jaw drop*
I tell myself, ok, I'm definitely going to follow this group!
HELLO. THEIR VOICES ARE JUST...OMG. CAPTIVATING!
I should say their harmonization is CRAZY.
I keep getting goosebumps throughout their whole performance.
'Hug' song was also damn cute and charming. Being 16 yrs old at that time only, ah I just fell in love with it. The boys themselves are just so adorable back then!!

I wouldn't say I watch them grow up(since we're about the same age!) but Dong Bang Shin Ki is the very first group that I have been following since their debut date until today, and have seen how much they have grown and changed, to such humble and fine gentlemen, showing a more mature side to music too, and ventured to many other fields like acting, modeling, variety shows, etc.

They have countless of great songs but out of all of them...these two will always be my most favourite.

Even thought right now, some things have already changed...
But I still hope that one day, the five of them will be back together in one stage. Always Keep The Faith. DB5K!

Christmas Eve on a weekend...

Merry Christmas Eve!! In a blink of an eye, and it's going to be 2012 d.
Still feeling a bit lost and totally no motivation in doing anything. *Sigh* Recently have been feeling down AGAIN, due to certain things... I should start making a bucket list!

Looking on the bright side, last 2 weeks, these came in my mails.
A very early Christmas Greetings from Natascha, my pen pal from Germany!~
and also from Anita, from Taiwan, whom I swapped postcards with before.

Thank you very much dearies

It's been a while since I have something to look forward to in my mails, from the usual bills, and my ACCA student acct magazines and letters. Yeah I've been slacking... even in writing postcards.
I should stop slacking...pick myself up again and start doing things that I always have been doing. Alright, new year resolution list coming up next! HAHA!

Earlier this afternoon, I meet up with YouZhen for lunch at YouMei. And later on went to Mall to transfer money from my bank a/c to my card. Money has been going out and not in recently. Still waiting for my stocks to arrive. How many parcels ah, 7 I think? *dies* Later on meet Rainmin and went KFC to teman her lunch. Sadly...they don't have my favourite Cheezy wedges today.

YouMei (Mata-mata) Buttermilk Chicken Rice is so yummy!

Just now when I saw some people tweeted it started snowing at their places and I'm like wishing if only I'm able to see snowing.

A while later, my friend J.O from Korea actually messaged me to tell me it started snowing and sent a sel-ca of himself in the snow and also a video of the snowing scene while walking back home I assumed. Beautiful and heart warming. I'm thankful and blessed.

Winter Solstice - 冬节 - 동지

Blog, I'm Back!

Made 'Tang Yuan' in the morning and now it's almost done cooking!

this year we made 3 colors only, purple (using Sweet Potato), white and green (using Pandan)

my mom nagged me, saying that I wasted time placing them nicely and in the end it went straight to the pot for cooking too. haha.

I prefer the chilled dessert soup actually ^^

Today is Dong Jie (冬节/동지) and it is one of the most important traditional festival celebrated by Chinese and other East Asians as well. This 'Tang Yuan' (Glutinous Rice Balls) is a must for this festival! Normally it is cooked with sweet base syrup (but of course different culture has different ingredients and ways of making), with either plain rice balls or even with fillings. I love the chocolate filling ones the most! But we hardly make those with fillings, so frozen rice balls for the win! HAHA.

We will have family reunion dinner tonight and I heard that there's meteor shower too, around midnight or so? Hopefully we can get to witness it!

Happy Winter Solstice, 冬节快乐, 해피 동지 축제~ to all who's celebrating! ^_^

and of course, the photo-taking part won't be missed out xD

the most exp Ayam Penyet I ever had. haha. it was alright.. - $5.00

Duanwu Festival - The Rice Dumpling Festival!

Mama making rice dumplings a.k.a ba zhang

she and her infamous peace sign...lol

One funny thing, this year Papa went to celebrate with his godson & family,
and so we all celebrated with Thai Cuisine at New Ahan Thai Restaurant.
Haven't been there for quite a while d and mama never been there before too.
She was shocked when they served us our X-tra Large drinks but after trying out their food, she loves it!
The portion of their dishes are just right...not too much, not too little.

we had 5 dishes, namely;

- Chicken in Thai Chili Sauce
(this one is really spicy,
for people like me who can't handle spicy-ness LOL
but too yummy! add rice! add rice! xD)

- Deep Fried Squid
(a must have ah, in every Thai cuisine, theirs are just nice. yumz)

- Prawn with Butter Milk
(forget to let them know we want the dry one actually~)

- Kangkong Belacan
(the taste is just nice!)

- Sliced Mango Fish
(would be better if more shredded mango and cashew nuts!!
and it took quite a long time before it was served,
we were almost done with the other dishes that's served earlier on)

And these few days I was thinking, hmmm which restaurant buffet catering ah
for my birthday party... well I don't think I need to think further d...
hehehe just so my sister was paying at the counter, she took one of their catering list for me.
